 Rules

1) Race procedure

A) Open a race and start practice immediately, allow 10 min for everyone to get in and practice. (Note 1 to drivers: If you don't get in it is just hard luck so make sure you concentrate please)

B) Once the flags wave for the end of practice everyone go immediately back to the pre-race area and join the main race grid as soon as it is possible. (Note 2 to drivers: The race will start automatically after a short delay and you will miss the grid lineup if you carry on practicing or don’t join in time. If you don’t join the lineup time you can still start but you will join from the pit lane, so you will be behind the others by whatever time you are late)

C) 1st race will be the 'Int Short, 2nd race 'Int Long' to set number of laps for each track..

D) Make sure your race name VROC/IGor names are the same. i.e F1RaCeR and F.1Racer or
Steamroller in VROC and Steam.Roller in GPL. Failing to keep the same name throughout the season will result in the loss of points. If you race in different leagues, setup a separate driver name for this league.

E) Stay in the server at the end of the race, and conduct the next race in the same way.

2) Scoring

A) We will use the following scoring system so that every place is worth fighting for.

1st 25 points, then 22, 20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.

DNS= no points, DNF score according to order of dropping.

There is also bonus points added to your weekly results depending on which car you drive. To gain these bonus points, you MUST drive the car you selected from the start of qualifying, through both Races 1and 2. Swapping cars during the race evening will earn you a 'black flag' and you will gain ZERO points for that meeting. These bonus points are ONLY for the 1967 cars.

Bonus Points

BRM --------- 10

Cooper ------- 8

Honda -------- 6

Brabham ------ 4

Ferarri -------- 3

Eagle --------- 0

Lotus --------- 0

These bonus points are added to you final score for the race meeting:
i.e Win 2 races in a Cooper 2x 25= 50 + 8 = 58 points

All race results will count towards the final league total. We will score 10 from 12 with last race compulsory. This allows you to miss 2 weeks racing without penalty.

B) For the 1965 mod, during the season, you must use each car in the 65 mod at least once during each round in the season.

3) Etiquette/configuration

A) Take care at the starts. The car starts off on cold tyres, and you will have less grip for 1 or 2 laps.

B) Be patient and explain what people need to do when they are stuck. Don't assume too much knowledge when explaining.

C) Drivers should have braking and acceleration help off.

D) Please take some time out and read the GPL Recommended Driving Behavior web site on better online racing. It is a great insight!

E) If you miss 3 consecutive races without prior arrangement with Steamroller or F1RaCeR, you will be removed from the league tables. This is to let people join the league who can race regularly without racers coming and going when they please. Use the forum to post messages if you can't attend.

F) Race evening may sometimes be delayed by approx 15 minutes when ever there are big events taking place i.e major football matches etc. Notice of any race meeting delay will be done through the forum AND newsletter.

G) When defending another car from overtaking, you may make 1 (ONE) move to block the car, but weaving is not accepted.

H) If you take out another driver through no fault of the other driver, we feel its right to wait for him to get back onto the track and take up the same racing position before the accident you caused happened. Failing to comply could lead to a DQ for that race.

I) New for season 12 will be a penalty system to punish poor driving/racing. If you cause any accident which the CoC/s feel could be avoided then you will be issued with a yellow flag. After receiving 3 yellow flags, you will then be issued a Red flag and a 30 point penalty. Yellow flags 'may' be lifted from racers if they show clean driving over the next few races without incident.

J) If you want to make a complaint about poor driving, send a ZIPPED replay file to THE RACE STEWARDS who will each look at the replay and decide on that drivers fate. Race Stewards are (F1RaCeR, Steamroller, Bas and Maxim) If a complaint is with one of the Stewards, then a 5th Steward will be selected.
